How much does coaching cost?
All Tuesday and Thursday coaching fees are included in the athletes’ registration fees.
Are coaching sessions compulsory?
No, training is not compulsory. However, it is a great way to improve skills and to learn more about each of the events. NOTE - all athletes in the U6 - U12 age groups must be accompanied by a parent or a supervising adult.
My child has a disability, can they participate?
We cater for all those who want to give athletics a go, Including Para-Athletes and Special Olympic Athletes. We can assist in beginning and progressing your journey in Para-athletics or Special Olympics and can provide guidance in classification
What level of ability should my child have?
Children of all abilities can register at Eastern Districts Little Athletics. Our emphasis is on Personal Bests (achieving a time, height, or distance better than you did last time). We have a number of qualified coaches on hand who recognise that children come with many different levels of ability and we can cater for this.
When can I do a Come and Try Session?

All Come and Try Sessions are on at any Sunday Meet, from the 11th October 2026 (between 8.30am - 11am approx) until 28th Feb 2027

How much does it cost to do a Come and Try Visit?
All Come and Try sessions are free for 2 visits, but you must register for these prior to attending.
What do I do if I am having trouble with registration?
All registration queries should be directed to Little Athletics SA directly on 8352 8133
Are sports vouchers accepted at Eastern Districts?
Yes, we are happy to accept sports vouchers and they are redeemed at the checkout when registering your children.
What age does my child have to be to join Eastern Districts Little Athletics?
Our centre caters for children from 3yrs - 17yrs. We are also associated with an Athletics Club for older athletes and encourage our athletes to be co-members when they are old enough. Please ask a coach for further information.
When does the season run?

Summer Season Our Track and Field Home meets are at Webb Oval Glenunga from 11th October 2026 to March 2027. Winter Season Cross Country runs between May and July each year and is held at different centres around the Adelaide metro area - all dates and details are available from South Australian Little Athletics - https://salaa.org.au/winter-competitions/
